Alice Brygo develops a practice on the border between fantastic cinema, documentary method and immersive installation. Her work testifies to a generational uncertainty in the face of fragile times.

Working between raw realism and surrealist fiction, Alice Brygo makes this disorder the subject of tales of twilight dreaminess. She reconstructs and moves real-life situations where the encounter between characters from different communities takes place to explore the way in which beliefs and imaginations are constructed. She looks for the gaps, the troubled areas where isolated worlds meet, where certainties crumble and the balance of power is revealed. Her work addresses various subjects such as contemporary relationships with the sacred and Western symbols, the link between individual and community, exile and living together. She advances with this intuition that making shifts or blurring the lines between experience and performance, reality and hallucination, the ordinary and the myth, allows access to a new understanding of the fictions which form the basis of our relationship to world and what escapes us.
