Meeting with Rachel Poignant
Rachel Poignant is a sculptor. His research focuses on the notion of process, his first experiences in art school pushing the exercise of molding to its climax. She revisits molding and its materials (plaster, paraffin, earth, latex...) as a means of questioning the notion of memory by the imprint. Through the different potentials of extensibility, reversibility and infinity offered by this technique, she rethinks the modes of emergence of forms and disrupts its methods.
The result becomes a succession or even an accumulation, like a formal archeology of the gesture that she tries to exhaust. During this meeting, Rachel Poignant will share with the public her work and the journey to the exhibition presented at the Museum of Fine Arts.
