Nomade Land, the factory of urban walks
For Nomade Land, the urban walk is a moment of critical reflection. It gives participants the keys to reading a landscape, calling its historical references and its forms, its actors and showing how the city is a living body, constantly changing.
But it is also and above all, between the urban and the human, between utopia and reality, letting ourselves dream together of the city of tomorrow.

Nomade Land

In 1978, the city of Villeurbanne became the territory of an innovative cultural policy. The same year, the city welcomes the New Museum which will become the Institute of Contemporary Art. Let's discover this important contemporary collection, a true open-air museum that is exemplary in many respects.

The Part-Dieu district presents a collection of artworks displayed in the public space reflecting the artistic diversity of our time. A journey between historical modernity and contemporary production to be discovered in the heart of the district in transformation.

Nomade Land

In 2013 with the arrival of a new footbridge between Saint-Clair and the Cité internationale of Lyon, the City of Caluire-et-Cuire launched eight public orders.
They were entrusted to the artist Peter Downsbrough. The works no longer do one and unfold at the scale of the district.
