A neo-classical building inaugurated in 1903 in the heart of the city, the Bargoin Museum offers particularly rich and original collections. It houses two departments: one devoted to local archaeology and the other to non-European textile arts. Acquisitions in recent years and numerous collaborations with international organisations have made the museum a reference institution with recognised and sought-after expertise.
The musée Bargoin - Clermont Auvergne Metropole co produce since 2012 the International Festival of Extra ordinaries Textiles (FITE)
