Biography
Travelling through time and space, Shivay La Multiple's creations meld worlds and universes, dream and reality,
the material and the digital. Her research focuses on devising and sculpting a coming-of-age story that begins
in the Maroni River,
then glides along the Congo, the Senegal, and the Casamance rivers; it is carried along by
the waters of the Nile to end up flowing with the currents of the Lobe River.
These multiple routes all lead to the
woody fruit: the calabash. A guardian of tradition, the roundness of its shell holds water that trickles away through
human hands.
