Biography
Ines Katamso adopts an approach that is both scientific and spiritual; she studies micro-organisms and fossils to explore our relationship with the environment. With an ecological mindset, she revisits traditional craft techniques using recycled materials to create timeless, sustainable works. Somewhere between an archaeology of the future and a reinvention of vernacular mythology, Ines Katamso's works create hybrid entities that are at once organic and artistic, traditional and futuristic.
