About the 31 Project gallery: 31 PROJECT is a gallery dedicated to promoting contemporary African art scenes through multidisciplinary exhibitions of artists from the continent and the diaspora. It was founded in 2019 by Clémence Houdart in Paris.
Established in 2019 in a former silk workshop just steps away from the Museum of Fine Arts and Lyon City Hall, Manifesta has become a premier venue for corporate events, designed with a multidisciplinary cultural model and managed by creativity experts in collaboration with numerous national and international contemporary art galleries.
Featured in the 2019 Résonance Biennale program with RX gallery and the 2022 edition with Poggi gallery, Manifesta is participating this year in resonance with the Contemporary Art Biennale with the exhibition Dérives, in collaboration with Binome gallery, in September-October. Also, starting in November, Manifesta will host 31 Project gallery’ exhibition, featuring a selection of artists from the African contemporary art scene.
