‘Rendez-Vous Page X' is an exhibition-process by artist Floraine Sintès in the Tolstoy district of Villeurbanne, following a series of collective writing workshops for a novel in which your group is the hero.
Artist Floraine Sintès will deploy a work of art in the Tolstoy district of Villeurbanne in November 2024, following collective writing workshops and a co-written novel, based on the game-books "of which you are the hero".
From March to June 2024, a series of writing workshops will take place, inviting participants to invest in a particular genre: the book-action, an interactive fiction.
Revisiting the genre in a "novel in which your group becomes the hero", this book-game is designed to be read not individually by a single reader, but collectively, with the group making choices and decisions to move the story forward. Using the archives at Le Rize, the group was able to learn more about Villeurbanne's heritage and build a story around the city's newspaper archives. Once completed, the novel will be published in several copies and made available for consultation.
In November, the artist will design an exhibition-process in the Tolstoy district, creating various objects belonging to the co-written novel and scattering them around the city. This exhibition-process would allow elements of the book to be deployed in different places, making reality blend with fiction.
