" galerie le 116art" contemporary art, opened in 2008. 5 exhibitions per year, offered to living artists ( experienced or beginners, frenchs and foreigns ) using all the media at their disposal.. In addition to the closed space, the gallery has a roof-terrasse and a garden to present sculptures and installations. Main criteria used in the choice of works: aesthetics, sens and emotion.
It starts like this Thinking is a commitment to describing territories, fragile and unbalanced territories: un human and ecological disaster. Mainly affecting oceans, seas, islands, rivers and streams, or situations arising from these places. Their transcriptions are made by cartographic projection. They can also be transcribed by walking, a poetic and plastic action.The works produced sometimes in series, or suites, are structured in a constant manner, around lines and meanders.These overlays graphic games create a form of illegibility, an indescribable of situations, from shape to formless. Painting on organdy fabric and the complex assemblies of different formats, add the staging of a form of questioning. I work like a seamdress with the map as a base pattern.....
