Mickaël FRONTINI, priest, abstract painter : "open to imagination and sharing" 12 november 2024 – 5 january 2025, 7 days/7 Extension of the Old City of Lyon exhibition in resonance with 17th Lyon Biennale 2024.
Father Mickaël Frontini, priest, abstract painter: Born in 1956, Mickaël Frontini enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, then entered the Lyon seminary, where he became a priest in 1989. After ten years in parish service, following a nervous breakdown, in the 2000s he was given a new mission as a priest-artist-painter. He has run workshops in prisons, and painted the exterior of the Vénissieux church with residents of the Minguettes district (2017-2020). He recently exhibited at the Saint-Bonaventure basilica in Lyon, at the Festival de la Beauté, December 2022. His painting is an openness to the imaginary and to sharing.
