The Centre Culturel d'Écully is hosting the exhibition "FLUX", by the association SCULPTURE TAILLE DIRECTE and the Burkinabé artist Kossi TRAORE, who are collaborating on a joint exhibition project.
Kossi TRAORE takes us down the ancestral paths of African bronze-making, using a lost wax and traditional casting technique.
The dialogue between Burkinabe motifs and subjects and the work of the sculptors' collective promises an interesting juxtaposition of styles, materials and cultures. It's also a reflection on how contemporary or traditional art interacts with social and cultural issues, encouraging forms of mutual understanding and collaboration.
