Exhibition from october 25 to january 19 at Creux de l’Enfer (site de l’usine du May), Thiers (63)
Marie Losier works as close as possible to her childhood. We can feel her memories, her terror and her joy, all at the same time. She makes shaggy, bouncy films (with a 16 mm Bolex) short as less short. She makes convulsive ceramics, somnambulistic drawings, or fairground installations for very, very, very small people. Marie Losier's art is a luminous tinkling hut. In her works, lost souls, wounded monsters, fallen angels and broken hearts become bizarre demigods, mythical creatures, singular movie stars. Her exhibition Kino Volcano at Creux de l’Enfer works with the exhibition Les Hauts de Turnepenche, by the duo Arlt. These two exhibitions contaminate each other and communicate through various secret passages.
