Explore the activation of the installation-performance 69 stratégies obliques pour faire des chansons d’amour by Agnès Gayraud, which uses playfulness and randomness to express genuine personal emotions.

Agnès Gayraud’s musical creation project delves into the process of writing, composing, and performing a love song. Set up as a sound recording studio, the installation invites five different musical groups or performers from various genres to play a cover of their choice, following specific rules. Every two hours, the musicians draw a card from the 69 stratégies obliques pour faire des chansons d’amour, inspired by the game created in 1975 by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt (Oblique Strategies: Over One Hundred Worthwhile Dilemmas), designed to free artists from doubt with a few enigmatic suggestions. Agnès Gayraud's cards, drawing from literary and theoretical works, psychology books, ChatGPT, intimate text messages, or personal anecdotes, allow for a sincere and creative reinterpretation of popular love songs.
