For Richard Fauguet, reality is a playground where he has fun making displacements. His work is the result of sometimes improbable associations, rapid shifts and diversions of objects. He gathers and connects things to produce forms that refer to known images, from art history to popular culture. Particularly fascinated by Pablo Picasso, he has often paid tribute to the great Spanish painter. The « PPE (Picasso Pour Enfants) » serie, at the heart of the exhibition, was born of an encounter between food trays, educational stamps (used in schools by children) and Picasso's portraits of women.
Richard Fauguet was born in 1963. He lives and works in Châteauroux. His work has been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions, including Children Power presented at the Plateau (Paris) in 2021. He is represented by the Art : Concept gallery in Paris.
