It started as a questioning: What are these geographies that are silently inscribed? What are their origins? A precious essence that needs to be taken care of?
S.Samy Reclaiming one's intuition, freeing oneself from shackles, and moving from the shadows to the light in a body where emotions shiver. To set out on a journey and to cross one's slumbers. To free oneself from human geographical borders. To see the infinite space left to the imagination and its perpetual capacity to reinvent itself.
Between lakes both precise and vague, my expression is written in pigmented oil. Sometimes intensifying the tones or making them subtle... A bit as if I gathered two universes in my bottle of oil and distilled them under the yardstick of my poetic grammar.
The flat tints of colour are blurred to the point of dreaming, erased into the cosmos or into misty lands.
If the body is a kind of envelope, which one loves or rejects, I am more interested in what can spring from it in pure emotion. I reveal the invisible: anonymous worlds, days without names, dates without years. I take the pulse of a universe I have created.
