Collectif CAPSULE Artists Antonin Dony, Eve Martin and Arsène Prat and curator Valentin Vennesson develop an immersive installation work. This practice of exhibition as a medium leads them to think of environments, where real and fiction mingle to become possibilities. Since their formal experiments, they have pursued a search on the landscape by questioning materiality and virtuality.
The installation appears in their work as the place bringing together what composes our contemporary landscapes. The organic and raw materials become the bases of their sculptural vocabulary, and question the temporality of a natural, now under construction. These investigations in the imagination of the landscape lead them to produce forms of ecosystems. The moving image - central element of the collective’s practice - will be here a reading index, the gateway into the imagination of the various assemblies that will compose the exhibition. Entitled Presences Futures, it will show different installations, fragments of spaces, sites that will make up an internal geography to the exhibition. Thus, one site will be composed of mineral elements, another of more vegetated elements. Each of them will seem to belong to a different temporality: remains of an ancient time in the form of mouldings, futuristic machines with mysterious functioning or a current environment parasitized by technology.
