1 itinerary : 5 sites, 5 artists. In resonance with the 16th Biennale of Contemporary Art in Lyon, the New Franco-Chinese Institute presents “Trames”, a new unique artistic circuit.

Designed in partnership with the Maison des Arts – Yishu 8, it highlights five French and Chinese artists who invest five atypical and emblematic places in Lyon.

Trames” illustrates above all the historical link between France and China around silk and its intertwined stories. "Trames" is also a carte blanche, given to each artist, whether painter, visual artist or sculptor, to come and feed this dialogue of cultures.

Trames” offers the general public an exceptional look at contemporary Franco-Chinese art. This new scene takes hold of our places of life, our heritage, our stories, to allow us to rediscover them in a new and poetic way, while opening up new perspectives.

The Renaud Foundation will host the work of Wang Enlai. little shown in France, this Chinese plastic artist will take over the South terrace of the Fort de Vaise. Halfway between sculpture and installation, he takes up on the Chinese legend of "carps jumping through the dragon's door", letting his BIG FISH soar over the rivers and hills of Lyon.

Silk, an eminent symbol of the Sino-Lyonnais relationship, is honored in this journey through a collaboration with Intersoie (French interprofessional association of silk).

Please note: the BIG FISH will not be accessible on September 24-25, October 1-2, October 8-9.
