Beat Lippert, sculptor from Switzerland, is interested in the discrepancy that lies between our interiority and the reality around us, to which we have to conform.
Beat Lippert, sculptor, is interested in the discrepancy that lies between our interiority and the reality around us, to which we have to conform. With the new technologies, the forced introduction to Artificial Intelligence, we lose our freedom and comply with consumption and profit automatisms. On the occasion of this personal show at the Galerie Tator, Beat Lippert finds inspiration in « Schachnovelle » by Stefan Zweig. He invites the visitors to challenge a chess game, which board is of a different nature, as it is made of tartan patterns. The pawns are interchangeable, defying the hierarchy and the patriarcal system the game is based on. If for some people there are only one way to play this game, there are many other ways for those who believe in the oneness of each humain being, as a unique and singular value.
