Since 2014, the Showroom Galerie 7 has been showcasing textile know-how from the five continents, contemporary or ancient. It is supported by the organisers of the International Festival of Extra Ordinary Textiles (FITE).
Lyse Drouaine is an artist and founder of the creative house LUXDAWN®.
She has developed an innovative material made from textile and optical fibres. This surprising and enchanting material has now found its place in the design of privileged spaces. A real turnkey solution for architects, decorators, designers and artists, it is the result of research work that the artist is carrying out between Lyon, the City of Light, and Aubusson, the City of Tapestry and Woven Arts. These two regions, with their age-old and complementary know-how, give her access to a network of partners, each one an expert in its own field: optics, mechanics, weaving and tapestry. But the technique also knows how to be discreet in the face of the poetry and emotion aroused by this "dawn of light".
To do so, one must allow oneself to be carried away by the immutable and ephemeral spectacle of an irradiant score composed of strands of cotton, wool, linen, silk and luminous fibres. The space-time offered by this new landscape becomes a support for infinite meditation.
