Yoan Lafragette digs, gnaws, bites the plate, then presses, pinches, swells the support that has become flesh. He invests the modus operandi of engraving: imprint, contact alteration, perforation and ruin of the metal, all processes exploited with strength and tension. The artist pays recurrent attention to vulnerability, the skin, the flesh, the visceral of a bruised body, precarious, delicate, often subjected to the fall, creates a filiation with the figures of the martyrs, the flayed and the damned. The Saint-Jean Church in Monastier-sur-Gazeille will dialogue with the works of Yoan Lafragette.
