Born in 1986 in Paris, Guénaëlle de Carbonnières works between Mâcon and Lyon. Her work is represented by the galleries Binome (Paris) and Françoise Besson (Lyon). Initially trained in philosophy, she has a degree in visual arts and a diploma in Arts and Digital Media from Paris 1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne. She first started a teaching career before developing an artistic practice mixing photography, engraving, drawing, sculpture and installations. Her work has been exhibited for the first time at the Michèle Chomette Gallery in Paris, at the MAPRAA and at the Renaud Foundation in Lyon. His approach questions more particularly the collective memory through the notion of heritage and archaeology: the vestiges constitute vectors to question our relationship to the past and the conditions of appearance of images.
