Are not ruins the surest fragments of the geography of being? What is more solid than what has been destroyed? Ruins, fragments, old maps that lead nowhere, perhaps this is how our torn lives are erased. Jean-Noël Bachès saves the eternal part of it, that childhood in us, always too distant, whose gestures and promise he protects, bringing back the lost innocence despite the wear and tear of days, he who has chosen not to throw away the colors, so that life can be spelled in something other than black and white.
