He is a master in the art of drawing and collage in the public space, long before any beginning of street art, Ernest Pignon-Ernest is in a certain way a disruptive artist, an activist and a poet. An advocate of the most shameful causes of which society is guilty, he has also been the leader of a certain 'Bohème' in search of the absolute. For more than fifty years, he has been developing a body of work that aims both to awaken the collective conscience and to provide passers-by with an escape from their daily lives.
