Léo Fourdrinier draws inspiration from science, archaeology and history to create a world that borders the imaginative realm. His sculptures are assemblages of reclaimed materials and crafted elements. Dogs Monologue, depicting two reconstructed stone greyhounds holding a naturally eroded rock with the tip of their muzzles, initiated a process of reflection on metamorphosis. Formed by a motorbike helmet and a lion statue, Harmonie mélancolique imposes as a protective chimera. Informed by references to ancient heritage and today’s world, Léo Fourdrinier’s oneiric artworks craft poetic narratives that journey through space and time. Également présent aux usines Fagor et dans Les nombreuses vies et morts de Louise Brunet au macLYON.
Also on view at the Fagor factories and in The many lives and deaths of Louise Brunet at macLYON.
